Finally, a train journey that I could enjoy

I haven't made very many train journeys in the past year. Partly this is because the experience on the journeys I had made (with GWR) were so frequently stressful and uncomfortable (train cancellations, overcrowding, noisy football fans, mediocre in-train environments).
Finally, a success on Southeastern. Fast, it wasn't. But the class 375 Electrostar on the Hastings line was quiet, had working air conditioning, and seats with tables that lined up perfectly with the windows. (see: it

) . Seat comfort is subjective, but this party of three were in agreement that these were the best seats encountered for ages.
