Three years later, the first Cunard liner to call at Fishguard was the RMS Mauretania on 30 August 1909
With Fishguard, I get a feeling of a still-latent giant of a prospect for environmentally friendly international travel. Issues to be sorted out along the way, but in a parallel universe and with political will, it just could be done, perhaps.
